Apologies for late posting, there was a funeral I had to attend. Specifically one for a family member. But hey, here we are now. I’m sure that we were missed.
It’s shocking the vicelike grip that The Beatles: Rock Band has had on me and my friends. Most of them barely know a single Beatles song and yet they get so into it it’s mad. I even managed to convince some of them to sing harmonies, and with no alcohol! Even I’m impressed with my powers of persuasion sometimes. I’ve just got to say overall, the Beatles have one of the most celebrated and diverse and excellent musical libraries of all time, and getting to play through them complete with every little flourish that Harmonix could toss in is really an experience in every way.
However, one game DID pry me away, and oddly enough, it’s an old one. TRON 2.0 was an overlooked game, god dammit. I played through it again on a whim and had so much fun it may have been criminal. Of course, my hunger for action games in which you can level up or improve your character borders on the voracious to begin with, but the kickin’ atmosphere lent a LOT to the game as well. Oh, and the Disc (And more specifically, Cluster version of it) is one of the coolest weapons EVER. SO satisfying.
The later Light Cycle sequences can go to hell though.

Tron was single-handedly one of the best sci-fi movies ever made, if not THE best.
The Matrix, Blade Runner, the Star Trek movies, Serenity? Sorry, they got nothin’ on Tron.
Except for maybe Serenity. Because god damn, the Taminator is hot. ._.;
Tron 2.0 was quite immersive, I remember that game. I must have played it through a dozen times as I wanted to power another weapon up each time but I always ended up getting the Cluster Disc .-. It’s a shame that isn’t a 3.0. Or even a level-pack.
